Trust & Safety Guide

At Batchbro, your safety is our top priority. We've created this guide to help you have a secure and positive learning experience. Please read these guidelines carefully before arranging any classes.

Our Role

Batchbro is a discovery platform designed to connect students with local educators. While we take measures to verify profiles—such as our "Verified by Batchbro" badge—we do not conduct comprehensive background checks on every individual. All communications, financial transactions, and physical meetings are the sole responsibility of the users. We encourage everyone to exercise their best judgment and follow the safety practices outlined below.

For Parents & Students

  • 1

    Verify Identity and Credentials

Before beginning any classes, ask the teacher for a valid government-issued ID (like an Aadhar card) and proof of their educational qualifications. Genuine educators will always respect this request.

  • 2

    Adult Supervision is Mandatory

For students under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present during the first few in-person interactions. Even for online classes, we recommend parents occasionally monitor the sessions.

  • 3

    First Meetings

Always conduct the very first meeting in a public place or ensure there are other adults present in the home. Trust your instincts—if a situation feels uncomfortable, terminate the arrangement immediately.

  • 4

    Secure Payments

Do not pay large sums of money as an advance fee. Agree on a trial period or pay on a weekly/monthly basis. Keep digital records (UPI/bank transfers) of all transactions.

For Teachers & Tutors

  • 1

    Verify the Student

When visiting a student's home for the first time, insist on speaking directly to the parents or guardians beforehand. Ensure the environment is safe and professional.

  • 2

    Maintain Boundaries

Keep all communications strictly professional. Limit contact to parents for scheduling and fee discussions when teaching minors. Do not share overly personal information.

  • 3

    Personal Safety

Let a friend or family member know your location and schedule when visiting new homes. If an environment feels unsafe, politely excuse yourself and leave.

Report Suspicious Activity

We take platform integrity seriously. If you encounter a fake profile, harassment, or a user violating our safety guidelines, please report it to us immediately.
